Aluminum truck caps features and benefits:

Rugged .80 mounting rails are the heaviest in the industry. .019 aluminum skin on all standard aluminum caps. Deluxe construction units are built with .030 aluminum sheet with .040 being optional. Tube flange construction in all corners doubles the product's strength. Rear frames are gusseted in the corners for added strength and durability. 15" windows in all sidewalls (standard) provide increased visibility and accessibility. Roof bows are foam taped to minimize print and wrinkling. Putty tabe sealant prevents leaks on the side walls. Uphill welds in all window and door opening corners prevent cracking from torque. All shop top, side slider, and construction units have 1 1/2" tubing on the top of the sidewalls not the 15/16 tube used by most manufacturers. Tool boxes in the construction units are made of welded aluminum (not riveted steel) and are welded directly to the sidewall for maximum rigidity.
